Having been a classical ballet dancer for most of my life it was through dance that I studied and practised Pilates. At age 11 I studied at the Royal Ballet lower school, White Lodge and started my love for Pilates as well as ballet there. I trained throughout my professional career using Pilates exercises and theories to help maintain the physical standards required for professional classical ballet. Pilates gives special knowledge of anatomy as well as stamina, strength and flexibility. Through the alignment, strengthening and breathing techniques it helps to stay focused, physically strong and correctly aligned preventing and curing injury.
I retired from ballet after a 17 year career and decided to train to be a Pilates and ballet teacher as I understand the benefits that everyone can reap from its exercises and techniques. Pilates helps to keep you grounded, focused, fit and healthy. Relaxed, recharged and flexible. I recommend Pilates classes to men, women and children wanting to tone, strengthen and remainflexible, ensuring maximum whole body and mind results. Initially, working safely and gradually for ones needs and requirements. I have been teaching for 5 years in London 1;1, group matt work and equipment. I also teach pre and postnatal Pilates and am doctor referred. Come and feel the benefits.
