James is an experienced mindfulness teacher who holds an MSc Studies in Mindfulness from The University of Aberdeen. He completes regular further training and Continuing Professional Development in line with the Good Practice Guidelines (GPG) as set out by the UK Network for Mindfulness-Based Teachers. He has extensive mindfulness teaching experience in the personal, corporate, charitable and criminal justice sectors, both with groups and on a one-to-one basis.
As the founder of The Mindful Method, James is dedicated to helping people develop their own mindfulness practice, giving them the tools they need to skilfully navigate the shifting sands of human existence. His teaching is underpinned by both his formal training in mindfulness, compassion and insight and his own personal mindfulness practice, and is delivered with empathy, understanding and humour.
He specialises in teaching the immersive Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC), Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBLC) and the Frantic World course. He also teaches shorter courses on Mindfulness for Better Sleep and Mindfulness
and Managing Anxiety.
